When you’re in need of a speedy meal, your microwave is the go-to to heat up food without having to use a stove or oven, which saves time and energy. But we all know that microwaves get messy!
So we’ve teamed up with Lions Prep, who make conveniently speedy meals that taste delicious, to show you our top tips for keeping your microwave clean.
1. Grab a bowl
Grab a microwave-safe bowl filled up halfway with equal parts water and white vinegar. You can even use any citrus peel for a fresh scent.
2. Pop it in the microwave
Place the bowl in the microwave and turn it on high for about 5 minutes. This will create steam that will help loosen any food particles or stains, doing the hard word for you.
3. Wipe it down
After the 5 minutes are up, carefully remove the bowl (careful, it’ll be hot!) Use a damp smol plastic-free cloth or sponge to wipe down the interior of the microwave, paying extra attention to any stubborn stains.
4. Give it a spray
Grab your smol refillable multi-purpose spray and spritz the inside of your microwave. To make things easier, remove the turntable and any other removable parts to get them completely clean.
5. The final finishes
Once you've cleaned inside, pop the dry parts back in and spray the outside of your microwave using a clean, damp cloth, paying attention to the buttons and the door.
DING! There you have it. A fresh, clean microwave ready for a speedy Lions Prep meal.
