Thanks to our fabulous customers, 2022 saw some impressive savings and many many thousands of free washes donated to The Hygiene Bank. But there's so much planned for 2023 it's hard to know where to start!
2022 showed some super savings made
by all our fab customers.
In just 12 months we saved over 430 tonnes of plastic thanks to our revolutionary cardboard laundry and dishwash packs AND we kept over 1000 tonnes of cleaning chemicals out of UK waterways just from our customers choosing smol above the big brands.
Equally brilliant are smol’s concentrated products and clever refill systems. They have enabled our customers to prevent the pointless transport of over 500,000 litres of water across 2022. That’s a lot of bottles of water!

So what's on the horizon for 2023?
LOTS of new products! And we're kicking off with our most-requested product! It's on its way in the next couple of weeks and will be popping up on your account really soon and springing up at your sink before you know it. We're already head over heels in love with it here at smol HQ and we reckon you'll feel the same.
We're also planning a brand new venture... but more on that in good time. It's going to grow the revolution around your home and help cut single-use plastic even more. We can't wait... Keep your eyes peeled!
multi task our multi purpose and get
it working hard underfoot!
If your floors are water-washable, simply pour out some solution from your multi purpose spray bottle into your spray mop tank and dilute it at a ratio of 1 part smol to 4 parts water from your tap. So for example, if you have a 500ml tank on your mop, just add 100ml from your spray bottle and fill the rest of the tank up with cold tap water. Then you can just get mopping!

It's his turn under the spotlight so let's get to know him better.
what are the main bits of your job?
Being head of operations means I am responsible for the smooth running our factory sites each and every day. From ensuring Health & Safety regulations are followed at all times and developing teams that can handle upcoming challenges to implementing new factory projects and making sure our products are being packed safely and on time to meet demand. There are so many other bits to the job of ensuring our production sites run well but these are just a few of my tasks.
what’s your favourite smol product and why?
Non-bio laundry capsules because they are perfect for sensitive skin and they smell fab!
what’s the best bit about your job and working for smol?
For me, it's problem solving: developing our factory team and incorporating new systems at a rapid pace is something I find really enjoyable and satisfying. With fairly new warehouse sites there are constantly things to improve on and I am always looking at ways to become more cost effective with the current challenging market. All in all it's exciting to work for smol.
what’s a handy eco-friendly tip you can share for household cleaning?
These are no brainer and eco friendly with less toxins:
1. Lemons: brilliant for grease and grime.
2. Vinegar + sodium bicarbonate: will do wonders for mould, hobs, shower, windows & motorbikes!
it’s the weekend... where will we find you and what are you doing?
You will quite likely find me at a National trust /English heritage site on a long walk followed by a large meal and cinema.
