We’re not exactly sure who wants to read a blog about laundry (or dishwashing), but having one helps more people find us on the internet – so every so often we’ll post an update, maybe some detergent trivia, perhaps a joke about non-bio, sometimes even an ode to the dirty dishes. Welcome to a smol blog. posted.

Staines - the mistake

Posted by smol on

Widespread chaos swept Surrey when one mistake from a curious postman changed the course of history.   The postman (who shall remain unnamed as to protect his identity) had been a regular deliverer of post in the town of Staines-upon-Thames for nearly 20 years, but recently, the addition of smol brown boxes in his mailbags started to catch his eye. They were laundry capsules, smol enough to fit into packaging that could be posted through the letterbox, with the promise of a concentrated formula but great fragrance.   After a week of posting these laundry capsules through the letterbox, he...

Love Island

Posted by smol on

At smol, we’re totally gripped by this year’s Love Island. But it’s obvious to us that Adam’s attitude isn’t the only thing that needs cleaning up in the Love Island villa.   As our boys and girls engage in an endless cycle of conscious-recoupling, spare a thought for the local help who have to work double-time to keep up with all that bed-hopping. Not to mention all those outfits. Both need to get cleaned somehow… the boys might spend half of each episode rubbing their T-shirts against their wash-board abs but that’s about as close as they’re going to be...

Happy Fathers Day

Posted by smol on

Every day should be Father’s Day, they really all are cracking, but when it comes to buying gifts we can be somewhat lacking.   This Father’s Day we’ve made a list, of all the classic things, that we’ll be gifting to our dad, for all the joy he brings.   First of all we buy him socks, because his are ALWAYS wearing thin, even when there’s holes in both, but won’t put them in the bin.   Then a tie or cufflinks, so he’s always looking tidy, but from Monday right through Thursday, not just in the pub on Friday!...

A smol smurf

Posted by smol on

Dear SMOL I’m about to lose my rag with my brother in law Phil. Recently his wife dressed up as a Smurf for a birthday party. The costume was quite convincing and she properly painted her face and hands blue. Anyway, as soon as the party was over, she went missing and she’s not been seen since. A week passed and everyone was going mental obviously. Phil never lifts a finger round the house normally, but with the housework pilling up, he put a load on in the washing machine. Later he pulled the clean clothes out, and this is the...
